"What a fantastic country! Thank you so much for the wonderful tour of Turkey you set up for our family! Fikret is a SUPER guide and we were overwhelmed with all there is to see and do in this awesome country. We all had a fabulous time and agree that this was the best vacation ever! “The entire cruise [Turquoise Coast Voyage] was a thing of beauty. It was my first and I am spoiled. I can’t imagine ever topping this experience! The crew was perfect in every way, hospitable, kind, and extremely professional. Between the crew/facilities, our wonderful guide, and Odyssey Adventure Travel, this was truly the experience of a lifetime. I will recommend it to all my friends.” Steve Mohlenkamp, Littleton, CO
“Excellent combination of education, relaxation, and exercise – a wonderful travel experience!” Karen Nemire, Thornton, CO
“We just wanted to let you know that our trip was nothing short of fantastic. Thank you so much for providing a superb guide in Gülgün. Her complete knowledge of Turkey is incredible and she related it to us with great enthusiasm and wit. She handled our special requests with ease and took care of our every need. Everything went so smoothly . . . the hotel accommodations were great, the food was excellent, and all the transportation plans went without a hitch. Thanks so much for making this a special time and we hope that we can return to a great country.” Ed & Lynne Cohen, Moorestown, New Jersey
“Of course, like everyone, we were shaken to the core by the events of September 11 and the following weeks. We were fortunate to be able to gain some new perspective, however, when we traveled to Turkey with Odyssey Adventure Travel, just 10 days after the collapse of the World Trade Towers. Many well-meaning friends told us not to go. We took a few deep breaths before getting on the plane, and we thought we would come home early if we found ourselves in a hostile environment. (Turkey is about 97% Muslim, and at that point, we knew very little about what was going on, so it was hard to know what to expect.) What we experienced instead was genuine hospitality and sorrow for our nation’s losses . . . We had a marvelous time on the trip. The culture was fascinating, the food was wonderful, the scenery was breathtaking, the shopping was great, and the people we traveled with were lots of fun.” Sue and Roger Kilgore, Denver, CO
“This was one of our favorite trips and we would recommend it highly to anyone wanting to see this magical country!” Ellen & Roger Sheinkin, Cherry Hill, New Jersey
“We all felt changed by our trip, by the wonders we had seen, the significant places that we had experienced, the fun we had, and the connection to the Turkish people that we had forged. What a wonderful adventure we had. So the question remains, when are we going back?” Susan McCannon, Denver, Colorado
“The best trip of my life was a trip to Turkey in October 2003 using Odyssey Adventure Travel. (And I have traveled quite a bit.) Our private guide was wonderful and Odyssey took great care with us. Our group consisted of five, which made it so easy to get around in the country and to make some small changes in our itinerary. I loved the country and the people of Turkey. I would recommend this trip to everyone.” Tomi Backlund, Peoria, IL
“Just returned from a FANTASTIC tour of Turkey using Odyssey Adventure Travel and would not hesitate to use them in the future for travel to Turkey. They cater to small groups traveling to Turkey and specialize in providing unique experiences (we ate in a tiny village with a meal cooked and served by a mother and her sons, and finished the meal with fresh grapes cut from her vine!). We stayed in upscale hotels and ate in Turkish restaurants most every night (as opposed to hotel buffets). Bottled water was always provided and coffee and tea were included with our meals. Our guide was top notch. Our itinerary was very flexible (on one particularly sunny day in Cappadocia we took an impromptu easy hike through the unusual rock formations which made us feel as though we were on a different planet). The owner, who is an American, lived in Turkey for eight years and loves it like a second home, which really shone through in her being able to capture our interests and match them with a personalized itinerary. This was not a budget trip, however, but it was very good value for the money. I’m going back and will use them again.” Melody Mountz, Arvada, CO
“Your materials on history, places, mores, customs, and overall life in Turkey were on target. Well done! Sergül was an excellent guide. She was aware of how much you wanted regarding history and sight-seeing. When she realized you wanted more detail, she gave it. Most knowledgeable young lady – I would recommend her highly! The key to a great trip is having a good driver and an excellent guide, and you provided the best.” Jean Stevenson, Charlotte, NC
“The meals on this tour were FANTASTIC. I loved the fact that with a group as small as ours we could try restaurants that large group tours would not have been able to. Having our guide order for us was great – a wonderful opportunity to try real Turkish dishes. Every restaurant was a unique adventure.” Pat Shumate, Littleton, CO
“Sermin, our guide, was personable and very knowledgeable. She went above and beyond to make our trip memorable. I would recommend her very highly. I only wish we could have stayed longer in Turkey!” Bev Carey, Denver, CO
“It was great that water was always available on the bus and that each person didn’t have to purchase water.” Pamela Flickinger, Westminster, Colorado
